MORE WORKSHOPS:

The story of King Arthur and his knights is often mistaken for a children’s fairy tale. However, the meaning of the quest for the Holy Grail holds a deeper story; one steeped in mystery and magic.

This workshop will explore the role of Merlin, who advised Arthur from a young age, and the women who were instrumental in bringing peace to the land.

Inspired by storytelling, the Tarot, and creative discussions, we will embark on a journey that will spark your imagination and help you gain insight into your own journey.

Expressions of the Extraordinary

A Workshop for Women on courage & transformation

Screen Shot 2020-12-14 at 12.25.57 PM.png

This workshop invites women into a creative and reflective process rooted in Tarot, journaling, and the expressive arts—tools that help us listen more closely to our inner knowing and give form to the stories shaping our lives.

Guided by the Tarot, we explore the lives of three Celtic women from 6th-century Wales: Winefride, Melangell, and Dwynwen. Their stories—woven with courage, vision, and transformation—offer powerful mirrors for the challenges and choices women continue to face today.

Through journaling and creative practices, we enter these ancient narratives and reflect on how they intersect with our own lives. In a supportive circle, we share insights, discover strengths, and use story and symbol to clarify our paths forward.

Together, we give voice to our experiences, deepen our understanding, and awaken the extraordinary that already lives within us.

Create Your Own Mythic Story

For Women Who Sense a Myth Unfolding Beneath their Everyday Lives

Joseph Campbell once said that a journey begins with a yearning to discover something new. It urges you forward, asks you to leave familiar surroundings and cross the landscape to discover the treasure that lies ahead. This experiential workshop, including writing and collage, brings you on a journey that is both personal and mythological. Guided by Margaret’s storytelling voice, we will walk the path of the hero/heroine and develop a mythic story that will illuminate your own personal one. At the end of the workshop, you will have a basic understanding of the hero/heroine’s journey and story structure, have a character with a name, have gone on a journey, confronted your dragon, and come home with a story of your own.

Bring a journal/writing utensil and wear comfortable clothing/shoes for walking around the room.
