Bio
Margaret Jones creates sacred journeys—through legend, history, Tarot, and the living landscapes of the world—inviting travelers to discover not only ancient places, but the deeper story unfolding within themselves.
Her work weaves together mythic storytelling, Tarot wisdom, and a lifelong devotion to sacred sites. Each journey—whether through a reading, a workshop, or a pilgrimage across land and story—is designed to help travelers listen more closely, see more clearly, and understand themselves in relation to the larger patterns of life.
Margaret’s path began early. At nineteen, she followed a calling across the ocean in search of her Welsh grandmother’s birthplace, awakening a devotion to the stories held in land, stone, and memory. Since then, she has returned again and again to ancient sites, walking slowly, listening deeply, and gathering the legends and histories that still shape these places. Today, she leads small group journeys that blend historical insight, mythic narrative, and Tarot reflection—offering a way of traveling that is as inward as it is outward.
The Tarot is one of Margaret’s trusted companions on this path. She began her studies in 1982 with Rachel Pollack, Mary Greer, and Caitlín and John Matthews, and continues to practice within a circle of peers. In her work, the cards act as mirrors and maps—guiding travelers toward clarity, meaning, and self-understanding.
Grounded in decades of professional service, Margaret holds degrees in social work and education and a certificate in therapeutic storytelling. She spent more than thirty years working in nonprofit communities as a counselor, educator, and public speaker, and developed Storytelling with Heart, a nationally taught curriculum supported by the State of Maine. In 2003, she received a national award for her contributions to therapeutic storytelling.
Whether walking a sacred road, gathering in virtual space, or sitting together over the Tarot, Margaret’s work remains the same: to guide travelers through ancient stories and sacred places—and toward a deeper understanding of themselves.
