BRIGID’S WELL

We will walk the countryside where she inspired the name
“Emerald Isle”, visit ceremonial sites imbued with her presence, and visit one of the 3000 holy wells named after her. It is in this magical place where we
encounter the transformative bridge between the Pagan and Christian worlds.

We will hear the tale of two Brigids, wise women whose stories are woven together with the land: Brigid the ancient pagan goddess of the hearth, smithcraft, and healing; and later in history, the Christian woman Brigid, a woman recognized for her deep wisdom and charity to the poor. We will visit the site where the Goddess Brigid conducted fire ceremonies and the church where St. Brigid created her own spiritual community which exists to this day. On the heels of St. Brigid’s Day, we conclude our journey at St. Brigid’s Well where we will honor the Goddess and the Saint. Along the way, we will pause for Tarot reflections and ritual.

NEWGRANGE, IRELAND

An earthwork mound built almost 1000 years before Stonehenge (c. 3200 BC), Newgrange is a passage tomb whose narrow opening is aligned with the sunrise on the day of the Winter Solstice, allowing the morning light to travel a 60' passageway into the central chamber.
A miracle of ancient engineering and an enigma as to its builders and original purpose, to visit Newgrange is an unforgettable experience.

As the Winter Solstice approaches and we look to rebalance ourselves to the rhythms of nature, we invite you to "travel" with us by a recorded tour of this sacred location. With evocative images of the landscape and a "tour guide" narrative, we walk through the lush green valley along the river Boyne to meet the Celtic Goddess Danu, who is mother of the Tuatha De’ Danaan, the fairy folk who brought gifts from four magical cities.  Our journey then takes us to Newgrange where we will gather in the mound’s central chamber to honor and celebrate the ancestors.

We pause along the way for personal reflection, and by using the Tarot we receive guidance and clarity about our own inner journey. In this virtual landscape and with these ancient soul companions, we will create a personal travel log of our experience.

North Wales

Journey to magical North Wales, a land rich in myths and legends. Visit St. Winefride’s Well whose story of sacrifice continues to inspire modern pilgrims; to Rhuddlan, a medieval castle inhabited by Welsh Kings; to Caernarfon, a town dominated by one of King Edward’scastles. We will stop at the Druid’s Circle, a sprawling stone circle built in 3000 BC, and continue along the Llanberis Pass into the Snowdonia Mountains to see Merlin’s magic. In this virtual landscape to this mythic location,  we will create a personal travel log of our experience!

Travel TO CRETE

We travel to the magical Greek island of Crete, with its magnificent coastal scenery and archeological ruins. We will walk paths left behind by the ancient Minoans, an advanced civilization known for their artistic talents and ardent faith in the Goddess. We will learn about the society of peace where the Goddess was revered as the Source of Life and where all people lived in harmony with nature.

Ancient Scotland

The history of Scotland is full of magic. Its legends tell of faeries, mythical beasts and witchcraft. We travel across the land and the waters of Scotland, paying homage to the witches/healers who lost their lives here. We visit Rosslyn Chapel where it is said the Holy Grail is entombed and then wind our way to the holy isle of Iona before ending our journey at the standing stones of Callanish.

SACRED ROADWAYS

Stonehenge remains fixed in our psyche as a place of power and mystery. We travel to this remarkable monument at the Summer Solstice and marvel at the mathematical and astronomical genius of its builders. But it is not only the stones that captivate us: inhabitants 5000 years gone have left their mark on the Salisbury Plain. The more we learn about Stonehenge, the more questions we have!

CORNWALL, ENGLAND

Come along on a journey to Cornwall, England, where the legends of King Arthur --and the women who supported him -- were born. We will walk the rugged coastline, visit stone circles, enter Merlin’s cave, visit the royal castle, and be transformed by the myth and magic of the land itself. Tintagel, Bodmin Moor, St. Nectan's Glen, and the witches of Boscastle await!

Brittany, France

We travel to Brittany, France, where the land is rich with ancient history and culture. We will walk an ancient labyrinth, experience a magnificent 800-year-old cathedral, investigate ley lines and the Black Madonna, stroll through magical forests, visit rows of standing stones, enter Merlin’s tomb, and be transformed by the myth and magic of the land itself.
